Let’s Not Beat Each Other To Death is a genre-defying play/memorial/electro-pop dance party in its second stage of development. Created and performed by Stewart Legere, one of the east coast’s most exciting young theatre makers, it is directed by award winning artist Christian Barry (2b theatre company) with live video from projection designer Nicholas Bottomley.

Inspired in part by the brutal killing of a Halifax queer activist and an attack against an outspoken gay musician; its scope quickly expands outward and becomes a search for explanation, compassion and catharsis on a larger global scale. Part monologue, part concert; the show is a tribute to and celebration of LGBTQ people around the world who have been affected by violence, and asks us to search for the roots of violence within ourselves.
